The Bully changes the pace of a fight by making space feel scarce. Its pressure can turn a reasonable firing position into a dead end if you keep aiming while it closes the distance. Before committing, consider what the encounter is costing you: whether you still have a clear route to cover, whether your squad can support a retreat, and whether the area offers enough protection to keep fighting. Preparing your loadout with useful ARC Raiders BluePrints can help, but the decisions made once the Bully is nearby matter just as much.

Notice When the Fight Is Taking Over

The first warning is often not a dramatic hit but a shrinking set of choices. You may find yourself pinned behind cover, unable to cross open ground, or spending more time reacting to pressure than choosing where to move. When that happens, continuing to fire from the same spot can make a difficult encounter worse. Check your surroundings before your attention narrows entirely to the enemy.

Separate what you can observe from what you have learned through experience. The Bully is an ARC threat that demands attention and can make staying exposed dangerous; the exact opening for a safe attack depends on the terrain, equipment, and events in the encounter. Player-tested tactics, such as moving between sturdy pieces of cover rather than sprinting across a wide lane, are useful habits, not guarantees. Treat each opening as temporary and keep an exit in mind.

Choose Cover That Leaves a Way Out

Good cover protects you without locking you into one angle. A solid barrier near another piece of cover can give you room to shift position, reload, or break line of sight. By contrast, a corner with no second route may feel secure until the Bully forces you to move. Before settling in, look for a path that leads away from the threat without crossing the most exposed part of the area.

Try not to turn a short exchange into a long stand-up fight in the open. If your current position offers little protection and no safe route forward, moving early is usually more useful than waiting for the situation to become urgent. A quick reposition can preserve health and equipment even when it means giving up a chance to deal damage. The goal is not to hold every patch of ground; it is to keep enough freedom to make the next decision.

Coordinate Without Splitting the Squad

A squad can divide attention while staying close enough to help. One Raider can watch the Bully and call out changes in its approach while another checks a nearby route or prepares to move. Keep those roles flexible. If the player watching the threat needs to retreat, the rest of the squad should be able to follow or provide support without crossing a large gap.

Scattering too far apart creates new problems: teammates may be unable to help when someone is pressured, and separated players can lose track of the safest route. Agree on a fallback position before the fight grows intense, even if the plan is as simple as moving behind the next solid barrier together. Clear, brief communication is more useful than several players pursuing separate angles without knowing where the others are.

Decide Whether to Attack or Leave

Attack when your position is stable, your squad can respond, and you have a clear option if the exchange turns against you. Reposition when the Bully is limiting your movement or your cover no longer offers a useful angle. Disengage when the area is too exposed, your resources are running low, or the route out is safer than the fight. These choices are situational; no tactic guarantees a quick elimination.

Retaining control means noticing pressure early enough to act on it. Use cover that preserves movement, keep teammates within reach, and avoid treating damage dealt as the only measure of progress. Once the fight becomes a choice between an increasingly risky stand and a controlled retreat, make that choice deliberately. A well-timed withdrawal can protect the squad's next opportunity, and players planning what to carry for future runs may also consider ARC Raiders BluePrints buy options as part of their preparation.
